Ceremony People

Picture
Jo has been gifted the authority and responsibility as an intercessor or leader in the following ceremonies. Inviting others to  experience ceremonial ways is a profound responsibility. Jo is a member of a larger ceremonial community, Grace Sanctuary, who follows a code of ethics, The Pilamaye Code, developed by Chief Michael Hull.  For more information about Grace Sanctuary where many of these ceremonies occur go to gracesanctuary.com.

All ceremonies are self supporting, participants gift donations and/or items to cover the necessities, ie wood, material, food, etc.

Full Moon Gatherings

Picture
Each month, on the Sunday closest to the Full Moon. We gather to welcome and celebrate the newborn of our community and  say farewell to family and friends who passed back into the spirit world.  This ceremony is part of Kinship ceremonies teaching us about life and death.

Kinship Ceremonies

Picture
Kinship ceremonies include familiar passages. They are the building materials, initiations, that can sanctify our daily life:
Birth
Coming of Age
Graduations
Marriage
Parenting
Elders
Death

Moontime ceremony

Women's Mysteries had been all but lost. They are intensely personal yet paradoxically energized within a community. This monthly ceremony occurs when the veil is thinnest, heightening a woman's access to inspiration and guidance.  Teachings about this ceremony continue to grow and expand.

Purification lodges

More commonly called sweat lodges, these are prayer, purification and healing  ceremonies.
